This is an ideal product to remove leaded smd components such as ICs at a very low temperature compared to using over 220° C necessary with lead-free PCBs. It works much like Chip Quick but is NOT. Use plenty of flux and melt the solder onto the exposed leads of the component.
Work in the molten solder onto the exposed leads and preferably have the PCB preheated from the bottom. As if by magic, the component will be desoldered and can be lifted off the PCB at around 150° C or thereabouts depending on the thermal mass of the components. Bottom line is the chip will be desoldered at considerably lower temperatures.
